Moderation with Fansly Creator Bot
Moderation is an essential aspect of managing your Discord server, especially when it comes to maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for your community. The Fansly Creator Bot provides several moderation features to help you manage your server effectively.
Setting Up Moderation
To set up moderation features, you need to ensure that the Fansly Creator Bot has the necessary permissions in your Discord server. The bot requires the following permissions:
- Manage Messages: This permission allows the bot to delete messages that violate your server rules.
- Ban Members: This permission allows the bot to ban users who repeatedly violate your server rules or engage in harmful behavior.
- Kick Members: This permission allows the bot to kick users from the server if they are causing disruptions.
Your moderators must also have the following permissions (not all are required, but recommended):
- Ban Members: To ban users from the server.
- Kick Members: To kick users from the server.
- Manage Guild: To view and manage moderation actions.
- Manage Messages: To give users warnings.
- Administrator: Optional, this allows the moderator to remove infractions without needing specific permissions.
Administrator Permissions
While the Administrator permission is optional for moderators, it is recommended to grant this permission to trusted moderators only. The administrator permission provided by discord bypasses all other permissions and should be used with caution.
About Permissions
Not all of these permissions are required for moderators, the bot will report an error if it does not have the required permissions to perform an action or the moderator does not have the required permissions. Feel free to customize the permissions for your moderators as needed.
Setting Up the logging channel
To set up a logging channel, run the command:
/moderation setlogchannel <channel>Replace <channel> with the channel ID or mention of the channel where you want the bot to log moderation actions.
A successful setup will look like this:
Once the logging channel is set up, the bot will log all moderation actions, such as bans, kicks, and warnings, in that channel. This helps you keep track of moderation activities and ensures transparency in your server.
Important Note
Setting up the logging channel is optional, but it is highly recommended to keep track of moderation actions. If you do not set up a logging channel, the bot will not log any moderation actions.
Moderation Commands
The Fansly Creator Bot provides several moderation commands to help you manage your server effectively. Here are some of the key commands:
| Command | Description |
|---|---|
/moderation ban <user> <reason> | Bans a user from the server. The user will not be able to rejoin unless unbanned. |
/moderation kick <user> <reason> | Kicks a user from the server. The user can rejoin if they have an invite link. |
/moderation warn <user> <reason> | Issues a warning to a user. |
/moderation info <user> | Lists all infractions (warnings, bans, kicks) for a user. |
/moderation remove_infraction <user> <id> | Removes a specific infraction (warning, ban, kick) for a user. This does not undo the action, it just removes the record of it. |
Whenever using these commands, the bot will log the action in the logging channel if it is set up. This helps you keep track of moderation activities and ensures transparency in your server. It will also notify the user about the action taken against them, such as being banned or kicked. An example of a warn command is shown below:
For sake of brevity, this guide will not go into detail about each command, as we assume you are familiar with the basic usage of these commands. If you need more information about a specific command, feel free to ask in our Discord server.
