Getting Started with Fansly Creator Bot
Welcome to the Fansly Creator Bot setup documentation! This section will guide you through the basic setup process to get you started with the Fansly Creator bot on Discord. Before you begin, ensure that the following prerequisites are met:
- You've completed your purchase of the Fansly Creator bot.
- The bot has been added to your Discord server.
- You have the necessary permissions to manage the bot in your server. (Administrator or Manage Server permissions are recommended.)
How to Set Up the Fansly Creator Bot
Setup Permissions
Ensure that the bot has the necessary permissions to function correctly in your server. The bot requires the following permissions:
- Manage Roles: This permission allows the bot to assign roles to users based on their Fansly subscription level.
- Send Messages: This permission allows the bot to send messages in the server.
- Embed Links: This permission allows the bot to send embedded messages in the server.
- Read Message History: This permission allows the bot to read the message history in the server.
- Use External Emojis: This permission allows the bot to use external emojis in the server.
If you've gotten a higher tier of the bot, you may also need to grant the following permissions for additional features:
- Ban Members: This permission allows the bot to ban users from the server.
- Kick Members: This permission allows the bot to kick users from the server.
- Manage Messages: This permission allows the bot to manage messages in the server, such as deleting messages or pinning them.
Set up hierarchy
Ensure that the bot's role is above the roles it will be managing in your server. This is crucial for the bot to assign roles correctly based on Fansly subscriptions.
If you don't know how to do this, discord has a help article that explains how to set up role hierarchy in your server.
Important Note
If the bot's role is not above the roles it will be managing, it will not be able to assign roles correctly. Please ensure that the bot's role is above the roles it will be managing in your server.
Import Fansly Data
For the bot to function correctly, you need to import your Fansly data into the bot. This is done by running the /tiers import command in Discord. This will grab your subscription tiers and other relevant data from Fansly.
Upon successfully fetching data, the bot will ask you to confirm the import. Click the "Import Tiers" button to proceed.
After confirming, the bot will start importing your Fansly data. This may take a few minutes depending on the number of subscription tiers you have. Once the import is complete, the bot will send a message confirming that the import was successful.
Setup Follower Role (Optional)
If you want to set up a follower role for your Fansly subscribers, you can do so by running the /tiers reward follower_role <role> command in Discord. This will allow the bot to assign a specific role to users who follow you on Fansly.
A table is provided below to help you understand the command structure:
| Argument | Description | Auto-Complete? |
|---|---|---|
role | The role to assign to users who follow you on Fansly. This role will be assigned to users who have an active subscription on Fansly. | Yes |
Once you run the command, the bot will let you know the role was set successfully.
